Well if you ever feel weak, as retarded as we can be, we're a hell of a support group.

"Whether you think you're gonna fail or not, you already have"

I don't know who said this, but I used to hear it all the time. Putting negative thoughts in your head, like making excuses. i.e. " I didn't eat good today." takes away your mental edge.

If you're going to even grab a barbell you have to be mentally focused and ready; otherwise, you"ll never achieve much, and worst of all you'll most likely end up hurt...

I see as many injuries happen during warming up, or deloading, as I do seeing attempts at a 1RM. This is mainly due to the lack of focus on execution. I believe it was Ernie Frantz who said, "Treat the light weights like they're heavy, so the heavy weights feel light."

Finally, we all fail (at something), if failure doesn't motivate you to work harder and be smarter..... Well, just learn to be content with being average at best, and please stay out of the way for those of us who do hate to fail, but still do. We may not all be genetic freaks. We just hate being average.

I love the individuality of bodybuilding. I love that you can push yourself as far as you can handle, and then get your mind on and push yourself even further. It is you vs. you.
